Vocal Care for $1??- An inexpensive way to start your Vocal Health Journey!

One of the most practical and inexpensive ways of keeping an eye on your vocal health is, Journaling! It's important to notice changes with your voice but to also have dates and descriptions surrounding those changes. A Vocal Health Journal can coast as little as $1 but can save you loads of time, money and headache in the future!

Starting Your Vocal Health Journal

There are many benefits to keeping a Vocal Health Journal. Active vocalists should always get to know their voices!  When we commit to practicing and learning, we should equally commit to vocal upkeep. Keeping a vocal health journal allows you to notate all of the changes that you hear and feel with your voice. Keep these dated notes for your personal management and provide these notes to your ENT ( Ear Nose Throat doctor) and your Vocal Coach.

Journaling changes in the voice is a simple yet rewarding practice!

Here Two EASY steps to get you started:

1) Purchase a Journal. My personal Vocal Health Journal was purchased at my local dollar store. I keep two. One for Vocal Affirmations and the other for Vocal Health.

2) Date and notate any changes that you notice and feel, as often as they come but at least once a week. Keep record of any lifestyle changes you made that week ( did you get enough rest? Did you make any changes to your diet? Did you remember to warm up? Are you hoarse? Do you feel any discomfort when singing? Are you well hydrated? etc).

And BOOM, There you go! You have just started keeping detailed record of your vocal health for just $1. Remember to keep dates and add as much detail as possible. Take your journal to your next doctors appointment and vocal coaching session.

Being a vocalist goes beyond just using the voice. We also have to be accountable to our vocal health regimens. Starting a Vocal Health Journal is a great first step!
